The Smiley Morning Show on WZPL in Indianapolis recently received a tweet from a listener named Brett on their Twitter account. The post stemmed from a phone call with the station after he revealed his troubles at home on-air.

Brett had sent several tweets that raised a lot of red flags for the staff. The team went into action to locate him and called 911 and get him the help he needed.

Check out the first-hand account, from Brett, and the station here:

Since the situation occurred, Brett has reconnected with his wife and says he’s doing much better. The couple just welcomed their first child together! Brett’s story reminds us that it’s okay to not be okay – and while reaching out for help may be the most difficult first step  - he’s thankful that he got the help he needed.
